Why do so many people interacting at Yahoo Answers use these hideous, gray, generic mask faces?

I mean, do you folks really not understand how to upload an avatar, or a real photo? Hint: you do not have to reveal your real, actual human face. There are many options. About 849 billion options. Why use this sickly gray face with the pathetic phony smile? It looks like you're sea sick after sailing through the Arctic Ocean for 9 days or so. Please--let's see some more interesting, healthier, livelier faces out there!!Why do so many people interacting at Yahoo Answers use these hideous, gray, generic mask faces?
I suppose because they are too lazy and/or don't know how to create an avatar and /or choose a photo that they feel represents themself. It's easier to open an account without a depiction.Why do so many people interacting at Yahoo Answers use these hideous, gray, generic mask faces?
It's not your choice. They could have a lot of reasons for not wanting to make an avatar. The gray faces aren't that bad either. Why does it bother you?
You're using an avatar yourself. So I wouldn't be talking. Some people choose not to- others do like me. It's their opinion not yours.

First of all,

you probably don't know how to internet works because there are a lot of pedophiles and creepers out there.

So why would safe people want creepers?

Even Avatars can look like a person.

And you could get made fun of for the way you look.

And don't say you've never done it before-

looked at someone picture and said they were ugly or something

It's not a stupid gray face,

it's cool :)



And you can easily get creep ed if you uploaded a picture of your own.

Because many many many pedophiles steal girl or guy pictures, upload it on Face Book or My Space and say that they are that person and creep other people.

The internet is public and people mostly just want to be safe.

Hahaha.......I thought that these 'greyliens' only got on my nerves; I'm glad to know that it's not just me that gets tired of looking at these same depressed, anonymous grey guys all the time...haha
