YOU can cause total change of earth's population in 2140 with DIFFERENT people -- at will. Whenever you want?

SO MUCH for ';sanctity of life.'; (LOL!)

Most of the RRR cultists might as well skip this one. It requires some thinking in the abstract, and they aren't worth a damn when it comes to that capability. (Evidence: It takes a lot of ignorance to think same-sex marriage could do any harm to opposite-sex couples' marriages.)

Suppose that you are about to do something, no matter how minor, and then you change your mind and do something else, instead. By 2140, not a single person that WOULD have existed if you'd taken the FIRST action, will. The number of people on the planet may be about the same, but they'll all be different people. Why?

Because of something very much like the ';butterfly effect.'; That change of action means you'll interact with people thereafter by saying different things, due to any change in your thought pattern. And that will ripple worldwide, within a day or so. Different sperm will meet different ova in sex. Do this ON PURPOSE and -- what a power!YOU can cause total change of earth's population in 2140 with DIFFERENT people -- at will. Whenever you want?
Yes, but this is pointless. Dawkins explores this concept in 'Unweaving the Rainbow' and points out that every action ultimately has this knock-on effect, so individual actions are irrelevant.YOU can cause total change of earth's population in 2140 with DIFFERENT people -- at will. Whenever you want?
I totally agree with you on the butterfly effect and how one of our thoughts can make drastic changes to the world

although not sure on the way you are saying it

to say that our thoughts change which sperm meets which ova is taking things a bit far

this is something we could never know and couldnt speculate on
So where's this date 2140 come from? Looks like it's pulled out of then air, in all honesty what your saying might be true but the I think the effects might take a bit more time. I like the thought though, deep :)
You think too much.
