I really think this effects my sense of listening and comfort because I am always trying not to say something awkward or feel out of place! How can I become more confident when interacting with people?
I use to feel the same way..but now that I am a trainer/facilitator I must become comfortable with myself and be able to fulfill my duty as a trainer. Although that does not mean that I am never scare or nervous. What works for me is that you must tell yourself that everyone makes stupid mistakes and if you make it you just continue to do what you meant to do. For example, if I say something I did not mean to say I would apologize and go on with the training. Second, you should believe in yourself, think about all the things you accomplished, and believe in yourself that you can accomplish this one simple task. You've done it before and you lived through it you will make it through this time around too. Well I hope this helps..good luck!!How can I become more confident when interacting with people?
Stop trying to not be yourself
