Dental Assisting job?

i'm a 23 year old female and i'm thinking of getting a certificate in dental assisting...thing is, i have extreme anxiety and a really bad social phobia which i'm trying to conquer..and i know that with this job, you are constantly around and interacting people. so my question is, for those of you who are dental assistants...how do you like this job and what are your opinions on it?

Some dentists really appreciate you and others will work you like a dog.

If you can become a hygienist, that's more like being your own boss, making much more money and not doing a lot of talking and interacting with others.
