How long do you have to wait to interact with people after getting rid of head lice?

okay my daughter got head lice and were not sure how long we have to wait until she can go back out and interact with other people help wanted! We used the shampoo and it seems there are no more eggs, nits, or bugs...How long do you have to wait to interact with people after getting rid of head lice?

As long as you are sure that there are no more nits or live lice then she shoudl be good to go. Did you wash all of her bedding, clothes, stuffed anuimals, pillow etc in hot water and dry on high temperature as there oculd be the odd loose nit or live lice on them?



Also, did you use a GOOD nit comb to get all of the nits out. I had a friend who said the same as you that they had all of the nits out and then they got the NitFree comb off the internet at kleen-free. com and they ended up getting about another 100 nits out with it. Frankly, the combs taht come with the shampoos are useless and the shampoos mostly admit to not killing all fo the nits as they recommend taht you reapply after about 7 to 10 days since the nits you miss will rehatch then.

when i got lice once it was gone i could go out and interact with my friends. also routinely check her head for lice. because if she catches it again you will catch it early( maybe even before it gets a chance to multiply)
