How do people interact with and change their environment??

how do people adapt or modify to the environment to make the environment more comfortable? or suitable. and i dont think putting on a sweater would change the environment. i think it only changes ur body temperature.

plz help me. thank u. How do people interact with and change their environment??
What? Putting on a sweater IS a human's way of adapting to the environment (because it's too hot, too cold, or whatever). People never ';modified'; the environment intentionally or deliberately. No one ever said one day, ';Oh! Let's make today's climate hot!'; or ';Let's cut down trees so it would change the environment (rather, it would let us build houses there, for example!'; People do things to benefit themselves. And we can't control mother nature. Those people who did the industrial revolution in 19th century didn't know it would kill the environment. It's what we do (like making up buildings, guns, cutting down trees, etc.) that really changes the environment. But we do it to make ourselves better. How do people interact with and change their environment??
Modifying the environment is a technical term that doesn't really mean what we think when we hear it. It has nothing to do with environmental destruction, per say. It simply means to change what was previously there.

Some examples are clearing land for agriculture, building a house, building dams, seawalls or levees, etc. Basically anything you see that is not as it was without a human touching it is modified.

Humans adapt to the environment mostly culturally. Different cultures eat different foods or have different styles of clothing or home building based on their environments.
