How can i interact with people in a social setting?

I mean..you might think it's easier living in Southern california with all the venues...but with bigger venues, it's harder to socialize and find decent people.

Relax, first off. Try not to put any undue pressure on yourself. There are many ways to strike up a conversation with people, but when you do be sure to listen to what they say. Everyone appreciates people who genuinely care.



Update - Well your intresests and intentions play a big role. I am assuming you are looking to meet a guy. The internet worked out good for me, however, I have heard some horrorible stories. Just watch out for the perverts, there is an abundance of those. I don't have much in the way of suggestions for places to meet. I can tell you this though. Guys are just as nervous, possibly more, than girls. Most important thing, be confident. If you act pretty and confident, you'll be seen like that. Talk about something you think might interest your prospect, then jet. Don't invest too much time right off, leave them a reason to call you.

Go with a few friends, if you don't meet anyone new you can still have a good time. Work on your self confidence, everything else will fall into place.
