Your 'rules' for interacting with people?

How do you treat people? What have you learned to do and not to do?Your 'rules' for interacting with people?
i guess eye contact is very important

not being so abrupt being elegant...im not the type of people who's very effusive and talks to everyone, im more diplomatic but i still make fun conversations with strangers.

not interrupt others, which is hard to me it's something im working on

and...learn how to listen carefully, study body language and see right through the person, thats a little deeper though but its important it helps you focus in general, so you have an idea of who your talking to..:)

don't ask personal questions, try to keep it light talk about work, school, things people enjoy to do, go into detail about it makes it very fun. so i guess those are my rules.. :) im sure ill learn more! im only 20=DYour 'rules' for interacting with people?
Personally, I try to stay quiet around people until I come to understand them a bit better. I don't like accidentally offending people. I'm extremely reserved unless I'm trying to communicate something that is important.
