The following answer was given:
Hello jim鈾arwi...
That tree of knowledge of good and evil exist today as the Holy Spirt.
You like millions of other sinners are walking in dangerous directions...
Evil things are about to come upon you. Your god satan can not lend a helping hand. You are on your own
--
Evil things are about to come - this is a curse still in English speaking worlds isn't it?
Your God Satan - Ok, 1. Don't believe in God. 2. Don't believe in Satan. How could Satan be my God?
How do I as a reasonable rational person talk to someone like this, who curses me and doesn't even attempt to understand my beliefs? How does a reasonable person interact with religious people who are insulting?
hi jim,
just to balance things out, here:
be blessed %26amp; peace, man (from a christian)How does a reasonable person interact with religious people who are insulting?
Walk away.
I wouldn't even bother to give this guy an answer.
I expect believers react the same way with non-believers who are insulting. Some people are insulting no matter what their belief and that is sad.
You really can't. Christians are so brainwashed by W and Falwell and those morons that they just can't see the way to reasonableness.
Sorta sad.
that isn't an insult, i'd call it a threat.
so, as a reasonable, rational person... you should point that out to this person. you are right that he simply cursed you and ignored your beliefs without attempting to understand them.
show him how. that's what jesus would do. that usually tears up religious people more than anything, when a nonbeliever makes them look as evil and lacking in christliness as possible.
ask him how he knows this. and if it came from jesus, because it certainly doesn't sound very christlike... i think we all know who sounds more like a sinner and who a saint in this exchange.
Yarr Jim, I'd be taking that as a good sign. After all, they be thinkin that noodley thing in their pants is an evil thing. So, be glad if your evil thing is 'bout to come. LOL
Just more salt in the sea mate. Savvy?
How does a religious person interact with a non-religious person who is insulting.
The same way that reasonably religious people deal with insulting non-believers. Turn the other cheek and forget about it.
need jesus
I wouldn't attempt to speak to him. He's lost in his delusions.
I don't talk to people like that at all. My father always told me that if I didn't have anything nice to say, I shouldn't say anything at all. If somebody is disrespecting me like that, then they don't deserve any kind of response. That's the response I give to fanatics who are unreasonable with me. Anybody else and I'd give them a piece of my mind.

Lead by example when they will not follow logic
Tell him you will pray for him and walk away.
As my momma used to say.... you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
Ay, me frien' Jim Darwin, the only ans'er I can be givin' ya is t' walk away an'ignore the foolish *****, or look 'im in the eye an' talk like a pirate. Bring 'im over to your way o' thinkin'.
*raises grog in salute*
Ye be a good man, Jim Darwin. Don't give up da ship!!
Aaargh!!
If you insult someone, you can expect a contrite retort.
If you treat people with respect, they will reciprocate in kind.
with simple logic. i tend to use humor and sarcasm mixed with logic. they tend to not be able to deal with it.
STOP WHINING !!!!!!!!!
Common sense tells you if you throw out enough insults and disrespectful statements you will reap what you sow!
Pray for those who despise you
You can't talk to these people because they are not rational. Period. Just tell them, ';Thanks, I'm not interested,'; and back away slowly. You can't argue someone out of a fanatical opinion. There are no facts (one book does not make a statement true, just try using one reference on a research paper and see where that gets you) to support belief in Jesus/Christianity. Scholors still can't even PROVE he was a real person. So, realize you are dealing with someone who isn't going to be rationalizing from logic. I mean, it's just like someone not liking mustard. There is no science yet discovered as to why some people like mustard or not, but it is just their opinion. And truth be told, I don't believe in Satan either. I think it is just yet another excuse as to why people can't be responsible for their OWN actions. ';Oh, Satan made me do it! I was tempted by Satan!'; Ahhhh, bull crap! So that is my two cents. And for the zealots out there who will of course be offended, do NOT messege me with your crap. I am extremely not interested in your blatherings.
I don't know that I would try. Some people only see things their way. I am a christian and you are correct he should never have talked this way to you. You are who you are. You will believe what you will believe. As a Christian it is my job to tell you that Jesus loves you whether you believe in him or not. You do not have to believe in him. But if you ever need him he is their for you. Just call his name and he will help you. Not for stupid things like some magician trick, but for real life wrenching problems. I am sorry this religious person said these things to you it makes it harder for the Christians who are sincere about Jesus and his Love.
With a muthafuckin' AK
Just kidding, I like the way that sounds though
I find myself observing such people with 'morbid curiosity'. That's the same impulse that causes people to slow down and gawk, when passing a car wreck on the turnpike. The difference is that rather than observing a car wreck, I'm observing a 'brain wreck'... hopelessly mangled... profoundly irrational... mired in self-delusion and willful ignorance. It is an eerie dichotomy... awful to behold, yet at the same time, strangly fascinating.
How do I as a Christian explain to you the concept of the keyboard you are typing on if you do not believe the keyboard exists. I don't want to insult anyone. Whether u believe the keyboard you are typing on exists it does and it's hard for me to explain it to u if you can't believe it's there. See what i mean. I know it's hard for you to see my point of view. As it is hard for me to see yours. I would very much like to get to know your point of view. Email me if u like.
Love,

Jim,
I like ye but if ye dasn't start speakin' in buccanneer, I`ll begin t' ask the great FSM t' kick ye ou' o' th' pastafarians
Arrrr
You and I both know you cannot reason with a stupid person. Stupid is not contageous, but I, for one, do not plan on being in the company of stupid people for fear of being identified as one of them. These silly people are best left on their island of fanaticism with like people. They only hurt themselves in their morass of ignorance. Why do you take it so personally...they cannot help it if they are so needy as to fall for anything that promises them a better life. They are just looking for this better life in all the wrong places. Good luck and peace.
I strongly believe that the image of god and the devil are all man made. I don't accept what any church says as they all contradict each other. I belive that there is an energy so powerful that it can create life %26amp; through evolution we are here. That is my god. Not some old man in a white frock with a big beard. I don't believe that we go to heaven or hell or that we are judged.
If a person wishes to follow the rules of a church then they are free to do so and nobody has the right to diss somebodies beliefs. It's what ever makes you happy.
You asked a spiritual question. What is the fruit of the spirit? Love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. The answerer gave you the opposite of that. So my advise is to ignore the answer.
People are like that all the time with religious or religion related questions. It seems that people care more about protecting their religion then actually practicing it. How do you talk to someone like this? Learn their scipture to prove to them how hypocritcial they are being for example to this person you could say:
';Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.'; (Luke 6:37)
and again
';Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.'; Matthem 7: 1-2
The person that gave you that answer is blatantly disobeying HIS book of religion by judging you.
';But it is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.'; Psalms 75: 7
Oh and the answerer is pretending to be God.
';The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[b]There is no commandment greater than these.'; Mark 12:30-32
Oh Jesus said this, and said it was the second most important law ever. By neighbor, in the bible, it means anyone you come in contact with. The answerer wasn't showing much love.
See if you use THEIR beliefs to point out where they are wrong, they can't counter your statement while being true to their God. It is rational and reasonable for you to use their beliefs to prove them as much of sinner as you. Oh and about that...
';for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.'; Romans 3:23
See this man is a sinner, just a forgiven one in his religion. So umm if all sinners are walking in a dangerous direction... wouldn't that include- him?
I hope this helps!
Why bother? They don't listen, thinking they're the only one's who could possibly be right. And what is it with this, that they think they have friggin esp? Did they get that at the TBN Telethon or something along with that stupid prayer shawl?
Tell them to ***** off. I am serious. If they are not going to bother being nice, why should you bother wasting your time on them? If it really bothers you just say ';I don't believe in Satan don't contact me ever again.'; And walk off.
