We have an 8 week old lab that just came home from the breeder. Since coming to our house, his enery level seems a little low and he seems to be happier laying under tables then interacting with people. He seems to want to sleep and rest alot and has short bursts of energy in between his naps. Is this a normal part of the socialization process as he gets used to his new family. We met his parents and they were both healthy, social labs. We saw the pup when he was 4 weeks old and he was very social at that timeHow should an 8 week old puppy act when it first comes home from the breeder?
my pup slept alot at 8 weeks,he was just like a baby kept falling out his bed. a month on your pup be running round everywhere
