I've been having a hard time lately, just moved to a new area, having a difficult time fitting in.
I've been feeling pretty bad about myself...to the point where it's affecting how I interact with people, how I pursue the things I'm passionate about, and my schoolwork. What can I do to raise my self-confidence?What can I do to raise my confidence?
Simple; Look at yourself in the mirror, and tell yourself, over and over, that you are beautiful. It works. :] I do it, and I feel great about myself. What can I do to raise my confidence?
Hi,
Try to remember that you just moved to a new area and this can cause stress in itself. I bet it must be a little scary too, being in an unfamiliar place, without your old friends to be near you and to give you advice.
You need to ask why you are feeling so bad about yourself. I think you might just be a little insecure from being in a new area and you aren't sure of what is in store for you, so you get down on yourself, since that is the easiest thing to do in this kind of situation.
I think the most important thing to deal with is your schoolwork. Focus on that. Focus on doing the best that you can and achieve it. That will raise your self confidence. Don't try to take on so many things at one time. Eventually you will meet people at school to interact with. Maybe you can go to Myspace and see if there are others from the school that you go to there and maybe talk with them online first and then get to know each other at school. Once these positive things start happening, then you can start pursuing the things you are passionate about. You can't just step into a new situation %26amp; expect everything to fall into place instantly. It just can't happen, unfortunately. Take one step at a time. One breath at a time. You will get there.
