How can a angel hide its wings?

I am writing a short novel for myself, one of the characters is an angel. I want him to interact with people as if he were human, how could he hide his wings temporary without cutting them off? Thank you!How can a angel hide its wings?

I have no idea what setting you have and I do not know if you are using angel in a ';normal'; way or if yours is somehow unique. I suspect a contemporary setting and I will go ahead and assume you are using angels from the Christian religion.

If your angel serves God or a god then you could say that the divine influence of God, or a god, allows said angel hide them from human eyes as if they were not there.

If your angel is a fallen angel who serves the Devil or a ';dark/evil'; god then it could be due to some infernal abilities to deceive the eyes and minds of humans to make them think they were only seeing things.

You could also use a more mythological approach and use something like ';glamour'; from Celtic/Saxon/Gaelic fairy tales, basically just simple magic that hides whatever the faeries want to hide, usually themselves.

Or you could go with a black leather duster and the shadows of a dark ally.
Well he's an angel so maybe his wings could just kind of fold into his back and then expand as he wishes so others could see.
